Depending on your situation, there are different funding options that will support you during the rehabilitation period and longer term. Our team will discuss these options with you, and help you navigate the application process.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Australian residents under 65 years of age with a disability causing permanent impairment, may be eligible for NDIS funding and support for prosthetic and/or orthotic needs. To check if you qualify for the NDIS, please visit the ‘Am I eligible' page on the NDIS website.
For assessed and approved NDIS participants, please bring the following to your appointment:
- NDIS plan
Aids and Equipment Program (AEP)
For NSW residents aged 65 and over, orthoses may be funded through the EnableNSW AEP. To check if you are eligible, please use the eligibility indicator on the EnableNSW website.
If you meet the eligibility criteria for EnableNSW AEP funding, please bring the following to your appointment:
- Pension card
- Medicare Card
- Visa for immigration status
Prosthetic Limb Service (PLS)
For new amputees (of any age) your interim limb may be funded through the EnableNSW PLS scheme. During this rehabilitation period, you will need to apply for your long term funding in preparation to transition to your long term device. If you are over the age of 65 and do not quality for another government funding source, you are eligible to apply for your long term device through EnableNSW.
If eligible and attending an appointment to our service for PLS scheme support, please bring the following to your appointment:
- Pension card
- Medicare Card
- Visa for immigration status
Aged Care Packages
Older Australians over the age of 65 may qualify for an Australian Government HomeHome/Aged Care Packages (HACP) level 1 -4. These packages can provide aids, equipment and orthoses determined by the level of cover to match the assessment of the person’s needs.

If you qualify for a HCP, when attending your appointment, please bring the following details:
- HACP provider, identification number and category level
- HACP case worker contact details
Compensable - Victoria Transport Accident Commission (TAC), iCare, WorkCover, Lifetime Care and Support
If you are funded by an insurance or compensable funding body, please bring the following details to your appointment:
- Case number
- Case manager contact details
