About us

We'll keep you moving through life

Our vision

Through innovation, experience, and a patient centred approach, our vision is to help people with limb differences achieve their functional and life goals through customised prosthetics and orthotics solutions.

Our mission

At APOS, our mission has always been to design, manufacture and fit prosthetic and orthotic solutions that match the aspirations of our patients. Whether it’s cycling, gardening, or running a marathon, together we’ll develop a treatment plan with agreed outcomes that ensure our patients are involved every step of the way.

Albury Prosthetics and Orthotics Service (APOS) has provided local prosthetic and orthotic care for people since 1986.

Located in Lavington, we care for people in the Albury-Wodonga, Wagga Wagga and Dubbo regions within the Murrumbidgee, Central West and Far West Local Health Districts.

Our strong and dedicated relationship with public and private hospitals within these regions means we are able to provide a wide range of prosthetic and orthotic care to inpatients and outpatients across a large part of NSW.

We support major hospitals in Sydney and Melbourne by coordinating access to ongoing care for local and rural communities.

APOS manufactures an extensive range of custom-made prosthetic and orthotic devices on site. We also source a wide range of prefabricated assistive devices and utilise a custom shoemaker to provide bespoke footwear for people with complex footwear needs.

APOS is part of EnableNSW, a statewide service responsible for providing aids and equipment to people with chronic health conditions to help them manage safely at home and within the community.
