Our team

APOS has a team of eight staff, including prosthetists, orthotists, technicians and administration support.

Our clinicians are all university qualified and eligible for membership of the peak professional body, the Australian Orthotics and Prosthetics Association (AOPA).

Prosthetists design, make and fit artificial limbs (prostheses) using the most appropriate technology to meet each person’s needs.

Orthotists fabricate and fit external supportive devices (orthoses), providing mobility for people with conditions like scoliosis, cerebral palsy or stroke, where movement is impaired.

We are continually updating and developing our skills and knowledge and remain well-informed of the latest technologies and therapeutic approaches to help our clients reach their individual goals.

We work closely with other healthcare professionals in the region, including the rehabilitation teams from Albury Wodonga Health and Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital.

Clients are regularly referred to us by local accident and emergency departments, as well as by orthopaedic surgeons and wound care specialists. We also receive regular referrals from private physiotherapists and podiatrists as well as other health professionals.

Our clinicians also work closely with relevant health and patient support organisations such as Cerebral Palsy Alliance, Kurrajong Early Intervention Service and Aspire.

All our staff are passionate about providing the best possible service to our clients and their families, to truly get them 'moving through life'.
